The Moderate Voice: 2010 will not be another 2004.

It's delicious to watch these arrogant SOBs self destruct.

The article says it more nicely than I would. The circular firiing squad that is now the Republican Party seems to find new ways almost daily to alienate more voters. Attacking Colin Powell along racial lines and demanding that he become a Democrat is the latest in series of efforts to push moderate voters away. Add Eric Cantor's genuflection to Rush yesterday - that the "listening tour", where they wanted to hear from Democrats and Independents as well as Republicans, is no longer going to be a "listening tour." Generations of my Republican family are turning in their graves.

I think the title is supposed to read 1994, not 2004.

Lackluster? Wishing doesn't make it so, and you got your years wrong. Bill Clinton won in 1992, not 2002.

After the disasters of the Bush years, it's not all that difficult to win elections, if you are an incumbent democrat all you really need to do is say I voted against Bush 80% of the time, or if you are running against an incumbent republican all you really need to do is say "He voted with Bush 95% of the time".

GW Bush the gift that keeps on giving...
