The Moderate Voice: After Palin’s “Higher Calling,” It’s Back to Sanford’s “I Made a Mistake.”

You can imagine or make up anything you want, J. Spencer, but it doesn't alter the truth one iota. - DLS

Well of course I'm not "imagining" that Sanford is one in a long line of politicians who broke the public trust and who then expected to be forgiven in short order. You are right though, there are more important stories under the sun than this one.

Gee, that "accountability" thing can be so "predictable", "tiresome", and "worse-than-worthless". ;-)

Pitts is a lightweight, predictable Dem columnist, simply less tiresome than worse hack Paul Krugman and more substantial than worse-than-worthless Maureen Dowd.

"While we are waiting for the next shoe to drop in Wasilla, it’s time to revisit the many shoes that have already dropped in South Carolina."

Some of us, who aren't so immoderate, have other, valuable issues to visit instead.

Don't forget to revisit Michael Jackson this week, either.

    More illogic... [sigh]

You can imagine or make up anything you want, J. Spencer, but it doesn't alter the truth one iota.

I waited until Monday afternoon to look, and it's simply amazing the obscession with less important things I have seen. Yet there's not even one story on something like Steve McNair's death, which even the New York Times has rushed to seize:

That may be too difficult for some to handle, and I'll kindly leave it to others to babble and gripe and contribute little or nothing about Palin, Sanford, Jackson, and others and other events that are stale if not fully exhausted already.

You know its bound to happen, LOL.

I have to say I like Leonard Pitts and I like this particular column. Yes DDW selectively edited it to his own ends, but the column itself is reasonably fair and er, balanced.

DG, that's exactly why I provided not one, but two links to his full column...just in case I "selectively edited it to my own ends."

    Thanks, anyway
