I have to add that I can't do 1 million reciprocals..but I do if I can fit them (and as I said I'm removing some blogs right now over the next 2 weeks).

Alien Trucker and Distributor cap...if you let me know your blogs (the new commenting system does not give me emails to reply to) we could do reciprocal links. I don't advertise it, but I do reciprocals, if someone has a decent blog that deals in ideas and not screaming denunciations, racism, etc. In fact, I'm now quietly removing blogs from my blogroll that have not been updated i 30 days (the only exception I make are blogs by college students who I know can get bogged down). I USE my blogroll...it is NOT just for show, and Dr. E also notes that. For instance, a few of these blogs I note above aren't on the blogroll et and they will be added right now.

Joe, as one of your cobloggers, I just know that many of the great blogs we link to are going to just get more and more prominent; I read so many of the blogs on our blogroll here at TMV, and am constantly moved by the consistent content, the humor which is often very funny, and I also learn much. That's as close to a grand slam as ever could exist on earth.

I just thought I'd peek in here and mention that all of us here at TMV are striving, with Joe's gentle example, to continue to give whatever hand up we can to our fellow and sister bloggers out there through reciprocal or one side linking to others. Of course we like reciprocity if possible, but at the root, that would never be why any of us link to others. We link because the work we link to had merit to begin with, period.

Since I've been self employed all my life, the 'single proprietor' bloggers who work so hard and often put out as much content on the page daily as a whole shop of bloggers... the single proprietors have a special place in my heart...you know it well, so do i: Feast one day, feathers the next, but onward, nonetheless

But, hang in there, and
keep the faith, because even though we're all going to different destinations, we can all walk along together.

Thanks for writing this piece, which as you often say, is a MUST READ. You were the first major blogger to blogroll me and you have always gone out of your way to link to blogs that are off the beaten path. I certainly appreciate it and I know there are a number of other bloggers who do as well. Your oppenness has been an inspiration to me and I just wish more bloggers were like you.
