We used to secretly install/support leaders of banana republics, and now they're supporting our candidates! That's great! We've finally come full circle that they can be so open with their opinions. Democracy rules!

Re: Clinton Aide Harold Ickes Compares Obama To Jesse Jackson

I think its a mountain out of a mole hill. His comment tangentally makes a comparison, but not really. What gets me is the comment that the election "needs" a black candidate. Really? Why is that exactly, so white people can feel better about themselves or so that black people think things are getting better? Jackson was never a strong candidate for the office, whereas Obama is. Its not a damn after school special, its a national election.

Re: Clinton Aide Harold Ickes Compares Obama To Jesse Jackson

As for Ickes and normal reaction to what he said, put in correct context:

http://www.boston.com/news/...

Re: Clinton Aide Harold Ickes Compares Obama To Jesse Jackson

Clinton campaign: Here is your challenge.

The "establishement" candidate is also the "liberal-leftist" candidate

http://www.speroforum.com/s...
