Women who are equally credentialed and doing the same job as a male counterpart do earn about 5% less on average. Of course, this is unacceptable. Interestingly, during the election season, one of those who spoke out against this the most was Sen. Obama, yet a study found that the women on his Senate staff were more poorly paid than women doing comparable jobs on the staffs of some Republican Senate colleagues. Go figure...

The entire corporatist elite of the GOP, who will fight tooth and nail against it. As Cheney said "Cut labor costs by 1/3. Hire women."
