Congress Has Really Dropped The Ball On Its Most Pressing Concern (P.S. Not Healthcare)
The earth can use a break too. I'd be down for Monday-Wednesday-Friday meatless but baby steps for the cheeseburger crowd I suppose..
This is just another leftie-celeb posturing moment. I don't know to what extent it may be related to one of the leftist childrens' current little fads, "food activism," with a new attack on meat and corporate and industrial agriculture (a 1960s regurgitation; no new "discovery" here) and to what extent it is merely the long, lamentable tainting of vegetarianism and vegan living by leftist politics as opposed to serious science and health concerns and even (serious) philosophical and ethical or moral concerns (and yes, serious environmental concerns).
How about a little conservatism about this, in this instance (as is so often) also a little maturity and wisdom? Why not simply realize once again (as many have over thousands of years, for a multitude of reasons) that
"meat is a premium food"
and treat it accordingly, without all the silly left-political nonsense we have in place of that grown-up viewpoint that I and others prefer to have on this issue, among others?

Superdestroyer: Don't forget the banquets they would hold in conjunction with their concerts to call attention to the Poor Starving People in the Third World. Some of these celebs have flown the Concorde and it wouldn't surprise me if they had done that to get to a concert about the threat to the ozone layer.
True true. When it comes to carbon footprints, the rich cannot be topped. Yet roro is right, if he is using his influence over people to bring about change for the better, then cut him a little slack. At least he's not sitting on his yacht saying "I got mine..". So take the good where it comes..there's your wisdom..
BTW, I'll miss that steak as much as anyone.
