There is also the matter of clear disconnect between leaders in Washington and the American people, which Glenn Greenwald talks about here:&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;  &lt;a href="http://www.salon.com/opinion/greenwald/2009/01/02/israel/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" title="http://www.salon.com/opinion/greenwald/2009/01/02/israel/"&gt;http://www.salon.com/opinion/greenwald/2009/01/...&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Even if you think you are a firm supporter of the Israel response, the matter is complex enough to take another look. I hope the Obama administration is willing to take a more creative and less dogmatic approach to this problem than what we&amp;amp;#39ve seen in the past, otherewise there is no reason to expect we will see much of a solution to this ever downward spiral.
