As a Conservative Jew here in NJ, I guarantee Obama will win the vast majority of Conservative and Reform votes in this state. A few weeks ago I attended shul in the heart of Orthodox country, Teaneck and was surprised at least a substantial minority were neutral to positive about Obama.

You are an Orthodox Jew. That explains everything. Orthodox Jews have always supported Lieberman and Republicans more than other Jews. Of course, 90% of American Jews are Reform or Conservative (like Reform but with more Hebrew language. I grew up in a Conservative synagogue).

I guarantee you that Obama wins the Cincinnati Jewish vote easily - but loses heavily among Orthodox Jews in Cincinnati.

Most Jews I know (including me) support Joe Lieberman over Barack Obama any day. There is almost NO enthusiasm for Obama in the Jewish community of Cincinnati. McCain's going to get more votes here than GWB ever did.

Nice spin language for "liberal as well as Democratic," which you should have said.

He has diverged from liberal Democratic Jewish orthodoxy (no pun intended) on threats to the USA and Israel less than you may suspect.
