I could see a Dem (not a GOP!) president aping FDR and advocating an expansion of the Senate to provide better ability for that body to get its work done. Along with suitably chosen new Dem Senators, of course. (No GOP guy or gal would dare suggest it.)

Yes, I agree with you that their health comes first. There&#39s a difference between taking care of oneself and facing serious illnesses and/or end of life issues. Because both men are in the latter predicament I believe that they should step aside and let someone with more energy and the ability to focus on the issues represent their states.

I too have the deepest sympathy for these men.

Yes, I agree with you that their health comes first. There's a difference between taking care of oneself and facing serious illnesses and/or end of life issues. Because both men are in the latter predicament I believe that they should step aside and let someone with more energy and the ability to focus on the issues represent their states.
