She was having relations with foreigners? Ha! What foreign relations? Did she go fishing with the eskimos of Diomede island? Teach them non-proliferation and trade defecits? You have bought into the "story" of Sara Palin, not the biography- which usually sits in the NON FICTION part of the bookstore.
It is the quality and temper of that experience I call to account( though she has less than Kate Sebellius as governor, who governs in the HEARTLAND of this country and not a petro welfare state ).
Why won't she speak to the press if she has so much experience???

Re: No Wolf Whistles for Sarah Palin’s Compassion (Guest Voice)

RN, that would be Shelter Island, NY right? That was my old haunting grounds. Well, almost. I lived in CT but my aunt and uncle lived and grandparents on my mother's side lived in North Haven and Sag Harbor (different places at different times). I spent lots of time out there and tons of fond memories. And if what you say is true, that's incredible.

Re: No Wolf Whistles for Sarah Palin’s Compassion (Guest Voice)

Whenever I see someone post about Palin'r experience being greater than Obama's being an "ourgageous" statement, I just have to shake my head and wonder. She has been in politics longer, has done more in the foreign relations and business areas, have held executive office, and has a history of making hard decisions and challenging her own party. I think the only "outrageous" statements are those people who are outraged at realistic statements that say she does have more experience. But lets leave the comparison of Palin and Obama alone for a minute and look at Obama vs McCain. McCain has over 6 times, more than 600% the experience of Obama. That speaks volumes. Obama in fact has only 1/3rd the experience in national office as Dan Quayle, yet his supporters would criticize a woman running for the 2nd spot on a ticket who has experience which at worst can be said to similar to the guy they have decided has enough to be qualified for the top spot. Talk about hypocrisy.

Re: No Wolf Whistles for Sarah Palin’s Compassion (Guest Voice)

honestly, when America wises up and cuts out the 20% through greener energy means. We can give Alaska back to the Russians- or maybe Canada, eh. Sewards folly indeed- oh wait, i know- they can disburse that annual payola to the rest of America, or maybe they should pay income tax like most of us poor shlubs.

Incidentally I was on Shelter Island this weekend- I saw tons of American Flags on rustic Gingerbread victorian houses, and tons of Obama yard signs. Not a single McCain sign in town.

Where I come from are some of the oldest towns in America, dating back to the 1600's. F you if you call us unpatriotic, we invented the term (patritotic)here.

Re: No Wolf Whistles for Sarah Palin’s Compassion (Guest Voice)

Yeah, I don't quite grasp the "score one for the Good People in large number in this election". Lol!

I'm intrigued about the "Good People" part. The fact that it was capitalized leads me to believe it's a kind of club or something. Sounds elitist.
