And I CAN ASSURE all of you that there have also been comments posted in TMV's comment section that do not in any way, shape or form reflect my opinions or the opinions of TMV writers.

The emails are the ones that are more colorful.

Several happy readers sending emails have suggested the same thing for me to do in my spare time -- but I tried it and my computer won't fit up there...

We can laugh, as we should.
But it's really a serious matter. Once a perception has been implanted, it's hard to remove.

Some blogs are still running with the original assertion that this is somethow
Obamas fault. Those blogs will be cited in debates, and in op-ed type blog essays for a long time.
It's like a vicious rumor that can never quite be put to rest.
