The Moderate Voice: Poll: 62 Percent Support Sotomayor Confirmation For Supreme Court

And yet the republicans blindly go ahead in their demonizing and opposing her.
Then they wonder why they in such deep trouble when acting this juvenile before, in 1994, worked for them.
They simply do not get the fact that the people are fed up with the partisan mud slinging and obtrustionist ways. They want moderate politicians who care about and put the country and it's people first and before party.
Why is that so hard for republicans to understand?

I'll sidestep the lightweight (in so many ways) Republican-bashing (it was predicted long ago) and look at the more intelligent issue here. It is a perverse legacy of illegitimate judicial activism that so many (who ought to know and be better, but obviously can't or won't, and aren't) actually would respect or even tolerate such a question as whether or not a candidate for a judicial position, most importantly on the Supreme Court, should have the "right" ideology, or consider the person's ideology (or personal views, or political preferences, etc.) to matter.

OK, back to the kids' stuff now. Washington will take care of you.
