As I listened to Burris on the radio this afternoon I just couldn't help but think that it says something basic about someone that they'd be willing to accept the appointment from Blago and it isn't something very nice.

I don't know about that. An appointment to the senate is an appointment to the senate. If I knew I wasn't corrupt, and that everything would check out I would certainly accept the position. Having being caught in the act, I think Blago decided to make an appointment, without trying to make "good" on it.
