Thank for this well written informative article on courtesans. . . i have often searched for information, movies, or books on the lives of courtesans. . . .
truly much complexity in their stories and some times courtesans was a prior step for feminism which helped release women from narrow restrictive patriarchal dominance. . . .
i sure cannot pass judgment on this young woman, $2o,ooo, Her Choice. . . to insure she has a greater chance for a successful future, from a country where education is no small thing. . .
what i find more distressing is that women are in situations where it is a sane choice. . .but this young woman might do better with a MBA rather than computers. . .hoping she has a successful education and good life, glad the guy took her to a five star motel and all is remembered as a positive tryst. . .what a rocking chair memory that she might or might not tell the grandkids???
