Even in a city of corrupt pols, Stevens was a disgrace. Its shameful to think that Alaska almost reelected a convicted felon as one of their senators. He won't be missed- he was the king of pork and routinely abused his position on the appropriations committee to bring home the bacon.

Although I have expressed concerns about too much power being invested in one party (IE the 60 seat senate allowing the Democrats to rule unopposed), I am not sorry to see Stevens go. This man is slime and deserves to be tossed out on his ear.
