McCainl, who opposed the bill and didn't vote on it, is now attempting to claim credit for it, as per a video at Democratic Underground.
I'm a little leery of video clips, but it was a long, detailed statement.

And , even more sadly ironic, the troops' survivors will need to get well educated in order to get jobs , since they'll be helping to pay for all of it (the war debt)

So, in exchange for ensuring more of our troops die in Iraq, the President is letting Congress give the survivors more benefits. Niiiice.
