The Moderate Voice: Texas Politics: The Letters Have It…Again

Lord, save us from Texans. You know why they drive those big pickup trucks, don't you? Because they have to have something to haul their egos around in.

Does this mean Liz Cheney will spend months in Texas talking nonstop in defense of her dad's endorsement? And, how will Levi's nude photo-shoot impact the outcome? Is there a Peyton Place in Texas where everyone can move his/her campaign headquarters?

Maybe secession isn't such a bad idea afer all.

    Good luck Dorian.

    Tidbits:

We don't have a Peyton Place in Texas, but we certainly have a Lolita, and a Camelot, and Twitty.

Of course we also have Cut and Shoot, Gun Barrel City, Bangs, Rankin

And Muleshoe, Skidmore, Study Butte, Needmore, Notrees, Dripping Springs (I lived there, lovely town), Oatmeal, Chocolate Bayou and Smiley

Let's not forget Bagdad, Egypt, China something, Paris, Turkey and of course Bushland.

"Of course we also have Cut and Shoot, Gun Barrel City, Bangs, Rankin "

But fear not, anti-gun crazies. The state's heart is Brady.

Well, I loved living in Austin back in the early 70s, but I've been told since then by a few different Texans that Austin isn't really a part of Texas. ;-)

We like Austin. It has a nice blend of high-tech, academicia and young student population, government types, a little bit of Western, a little bit of Mexico/Latino, a little bit of "weirdness" ("Keep Austin Weird") and, yes, not as right-wing as the rest of Texas.
