Thanks for alerting me to this important day. My son has Eosinophilic Esophagitis, which is included in the list of rare diseases. I would not have known it two years ago, but it&#39s clear to me now that those with rare diseases face the double-challenge of not only living with a chronic (or worse, fatal) disease, but struggling to increase understanding and research interest.

February 28th 2009 is important to me because it is the 6th anniversary (on the Gregorian calendar) of the death of my beloved father from metastasized lung cancer:
