Well, Cheney is definitely the power guy, the first officer who has effectively deposed the captain on the S.S. United States (with apologies to that former world's greatest ocean liner formerly sitting for ages in Mullenville). And his secrecy and power stuff no doubt made Hillary Clinton jealous. And his cynical pro-industry stuff. OK -- the Grinch or Scrooge is a jollier, nicer character than you can believe Cheney to be.

DLS- I can't overemphasize how dangerous and dishonest I think Cheney is. Bush would have been a forgettable bumbler without him--- he turned a mediocre presidency into a disasterous one.

K, you overdo it with Cheney's negative stardom, but obviously the choice of Biden is the best Obama could have made and he has aced that step in the campaign.

Biden is experienced and likable, and honest in a way that Dick Cheney never was, even in his youth. It would be a refreshing change from Darth Vader. Only drawback is the Clinton camp, whose followers may jump ship.
