Coming from someone who lives in IL, I would think that Burris would have to realize that he&#39s damaged goods now. He&#39ll serve out the 2 years, perhaps do a decent job but if he wanted to be re-elected in 2010 he can kiss that goodbye...particularly if Blago is kicked out of Springfield by the IL senate. When he chisles Senator from IL on his mausoleum, it really should be followed by an asterisk.

I am glad to see them seat Burris.

Regardless of what I might think of Blago or of Burris accepting the appointment I am not comfortable with Reid saying he gets to decide who does and does not get seated.

Rules are rules, even when they cause us to be uncomfortable

reid didnt have a constitutional leg to stand on...but burris is pure trash

he accepted an apointment by a soon to be impeached and indicted governor...so how is he a winner?

i dont believe that the next 2 years will be happy ones for senator burris
