The downside for current CIA middle management and above is that any of them who went along with the WMD fairy tale or the "enhanced interrogation" justifications and cover-up have every right to be afraid for their jobs. The upside, for everyone else, is that Panetta will have the ear of the white house in a way not enjoyed by the CIA since Casey was there.
